Places to Stay is an experimental documentary about the filmmaker’s experience as a child of German immigrants who relocated to Canada in the 1950s. Filmed in the rural northern Ontario and Quebec communities and landscapes where the filmmaker spent her childhood, the film interrogates meanings of place and a search for cultural belonging.
